BACKGROUND AND CONTEXT
350 Pilipinas is a climate advocacy organization that works for climate action based on the realities of science and is grounded on the principles of justice.
TERMS OF REFERENCE
The Communications Officer will lead the public communication 350 Pilipinas’ work related to its advocacy programs.
Engagement will be from February 01, 2023, until February 01, 2024, with a possibility of extension.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Communications Officer will be tasked with the following:
- Lead the communications strategy development for the 2023 program in partnership with the Advocacy Officers and Coordinator.
- Co-write content for online and offline public communication (press releases, Blog, website text, statements, media advisory)
- Manage social media accounts and ensure daily activity and interaction with the organizations’ online constituencies by developing and posting content regularly
- Establish and foster relationships with members of the media to pitch stories and advisory for public activities of the organization.
- Monitor external political, economic and other news that are relevant for the campaign
- Attend the weekly editorial council meeting with the 350.org Asia team
- Support multimedia content production as needed
