We also would like to send a strong signal to our fellow Filipinos especially to our legislators the need to make binding actions to address climate change”

Kristian Jacob Lora, of the University of Cebu Luntian(green), added that “the need to address the causes of climate change should be mainstreamed, and in order to involve more stakeholders and more citizens into this, it should be fun, of course we are angry over the inaction of many institutions, but we are happy because we are pursuing solutions. We will make actions more fashionable, and the issue will become more popular”

Students from the University of San Carlos, represented by Ms. Trisa Valmoria said that “ Per university may submit at least 3 entries, Functionality is 40%, Design and Creativity is 30%, or course the materials that the participants will use will be 20%, and since we would like to involve more people; the netizens, online voting will be 10%.”

The Executive Director of FIDEC Inc. And one of the conveners of Visayas Climate Action Now Network! Vince Cinches, “Our Country is beset with so many climate impacts imaginable, and we have government institutions pushing for more coal-fired power plants, mining, and off-shore mining, right now we need more credible and cohesive actions, and the students being the most crucial stakeholders in this campaign, should be at the forefront, being young, tireless, and whose future is at stake.”
