GIS Mapping Consultant

(PROJECT-BASED)

350 Pilipinas is an advocacy organization that works for climate action based on the realities of science and grounded on the principles of justice.

350 Pilipinas is seeking a project-based GIS Mapping who shall be responsible for mapping of the  cataloged information, images and other digital materials for the Mobility Awards website.

TERMS OF REFERENCE

The consultant shall be responsible for generating  maps that communicate, perform analysis, share information, and related to the prior research conducted by the Digital Archivist that will be hosted at https://mobilityawards.ph/ .Engagement will be from September 26 – November 26 2022.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop interactive maps locating bike-friendly establishments and publicly available after-trip facilities, suggested safe bike routes, and places of interests including green spaces and/or historical sites  that can be hosted on a web platform that is accessible in multiple devices 
  • Coordinate with the Digital Archivist for the data sets that will be included in the interactive maps
  • Collection of pertinent GIS data layers to be included in the interactive map
  • Work with the Web Developer on configuring the map interface with the website’s content management system
  • Conduct testing and monitoring of bugs for the implementation of the interactive map within the website.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Knowledge of GIS mapping and related software
  • Proven work experience on GIS mapping and implementation of the maps within a website
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and complete work according to priorities
  • Proactive and has initiative to work with minimal supervision
  • Must have own equipment to use for the job
