Bus Adventures are a chance to get comfortable with public transit while meeting new people, chatting with old friends, doing something positive for climate change and exploring parts of our community.
Maybe you are a little like me. I want to confidently throw my bike on the bus and hop on but instead I have been too uncomfortable about looking foolish or slowing down the bus to even try it. Is that you? Or maybe you just want to expand your multi-modal versatility in preparation for the enhanced bike trails coming to local cities over the next decade. If so, our next bus adventure may be for you!
On the morning of Thursday August 10, around 10 am, Bus Adventures will meet at Humboldt Transit Authority at 133 V St, Eureka for a training in how to load our bikes onto bus bike racks. The lesson and practice time should take about 1/2 hour. Then, anyone who is interested can join us in riding the Eureka Bay Trail. It’s a leisurely hour ride out and back.
Humboldt Transit Authority needs to confirm the time and appropriate staffing with me on Monday August 7. Please let me know if you are interested, and I will confirm date and time on August 7. If HTA can’t do Aug 10, we will reschedule.
If you have questions or concerns, please contact me and feel free to spread the word.
