Climate justice equals social justice. The statements and actions of the incoming administration portend a drastic reversal of the progress made in both climate action and social justice movements. Pittsburgh 350 recognizes the link between climate change and human rights, and that the effects of environmental
devastation tend to be born mostly by underserved populations. The Unite100 campaign, from Jan 20-April 30, pulls together a series of events hosted by Pittsburgh climate and social justice groups to provide opportunities for serious engagement among groups who may not know each other, and to be part of a
visible response to the new administration.
Unite100 is supported in part by the Sprout Fund’s 100 Days of US. Launched in response to the 2016 election, 100 Days of US is a special initiative to empower people to act locally during the first 100 days of the new presidential administration to advance positive, solution-oriented responses to issues of national importance.
