Saturday, March 10 we will be protesting at the CPV power plant in nearby Wawayanda, New York. This plant is the poster child for the kind of fossil fuel infrastructure we need stop. It is spewing toxic gases and poisoning the air and water our neighbors breathe, and it is adding to global warming. A dedicated group of activists has been fighting this project tirelessly. On Saturday, March 10, we will join them in a show of solidarity from 11 am until noon. Please email [email protected] if you would like to come. It’s the least we can do to support our neighbors and do our part in the fight against climate change.

Sunday March 25th, 350NJ-R will be co-hosting “Sustainability Sunday,” a program about zero waste that is being presented by the Green Team and Teen Group of The Center for Spiritual Living North Jersey. The program is from 1 to 2:30 pm at 31 Westville Ave, Caldwell, NJ 07006. It will entail a panel discussion about The Story of Stuff and going Zero Waste. The panel will include teen and adult members of the Center, as well as 350NJ-R representatives. The goal is for everyone to leave feeling empowered to be part of the solution and knowing that their individual choices matter to the planet!
