On Wednesday, March 5, two 350NJ-R Steering Group members joined a Stop The Money Pipeline (STMP) in a NYC protest at BlackRock and Chase. STMP seeks to get investment houses, banks, insurers, and pension funds to withdraw their support from the fossil fuel industry. BlackRock is the single biggest holder of fossil fuel investments in the world and Chase is the single biggest funder of new fossil fuel projects since the Paris Accord. More than 100 people attended the protest. It featured compelling street theater with jugheads vomiting (fake) oil on a large globe, symbolic of what big money is doing through its support of the fossil fuel industry.
