A week ago we asked for your help in getting SB 53 and SB 61 through Assembly Committees. SB 53 requires really large corporations to report their carbon footprint; SB 61 requires large corporations to report their exposure to climate risks. Both create transparency and accountability for failure to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Now a new threat has come up. It is being argued by some legislative leaders that only one of these bills should pass. A new petition addresses this provocation.
Please sign it here. Please put in your address so that individual legislators can be told how many of their constituents signed. Petition results will be used for votes in the Appropriations Committee and on the floor.
Thank you very much.
