It’s Our Turn

Share Tweet

Have you heard about Solidarity Gatherings at Humbrews? They’re a wonderful opportunity for local groups to get together with each other and with a more general public. Coming up on Monday, the 13th of July, it will be 350 Humboldt’s turn to introduce ourselves and our mission. Climate Action Campaign of the Humboldt Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will also be there, and so will those brilliant organizers at Friends of the Eel who came up this wonderful idea.

We’ll ask for your support at the gathering by handing out pre-addressed and stamped postcards ready to send to towns in Humboldt county that have not yet promised to help fund the Regional Climate Committee Manager. This position is essential for Humboldt to keep its promises set out in the Regional Climate Action Plan.

Gatherings combine the satisfaction of doing what we believe in with the pleasure of good company, food and drink. Humbrews donates a portion of its sales at the gathering to the participating organizations. So please show up with your famished friends and family.

Monday, July 13 from 5 – 7 PM

856 10th St. in Arcata

Can’t make it? That’s too bad, but you can still support our mission to make sure the RCC Manager position is funded. Use the contact info below to send a message to Blue Lake, Ferndale, Fortuna, Rio Dell and Trinidad.

Make it short and sweet. Something like: ‘Dear city council of _____ Please make sure your city contributes its fair share to funding a Regional Climate Committee Manager. Humboldt needs this position in order to meet its obligations in the Regional Climate Action Plan. Thank you if you’ve already done this.’

And thank YOU for supporting the Regional Climate Action Plan
