The legislative session is divided into two parts. In the first. bills start in their own house, Assembly or Senate, and some of them get through committees to a floor vote. Bills approved in their own house then go to the other house.

During the next ten days or so the floor votes for the first house will be taking place. We would like to be sure that Senator McGuire and Assemblymember Wood vote for important climate bills. Below are bills the 350 Humboldt Legislative Committee has prioritized, listed by whether they are Assembly or Senate bills. We are asking that you email or call Senator McGuire and Assemblymember Wood to ask them to vote in favor of these bills.

Thanks you very much!

Dan Chandler, Chair, Legislative Committee
