As I write this email, something extraordinary is happening across Africa:
Climate activists in Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, and all over the continent are hard at work on 350.org‘s new REPower Afrika campaign.
This campaign is all about shifting our reliance on fossil fuels and onto community-owned renewable energy.
But in order to make this transition happen, we need countries like the United States to keep their promises to stop spending public money on coal, oil and gas and instead fund renewable energy — so we are asking:
Right now, climate activists in Africa are gearing up to launch community-owned renewable energy projects all over the continent just like this one in Uganda:
