We invite you to 350 Humboldt’s General Meeting on Zoom coming up this Thursday beginning at 6 PM. We’re nearing the end of one heck of a year, and not only have we gotten through it, we’ve done some great work together. Our program features information about how to reduce the potentially powerful climate impacts of refrigerants, as well as other climate actions. (Full agenda — along with valuable links and information — is below.)

We look forward to seeing you on Thursday!
Agenda: 350 Humboldt December 17, 2020 General Meeting
Facilitator: Pat Carr Notes: Dan Chandler
a. Check in: Briefly tell us what’s on your mind, or share a look back at our meetings together, your life in the pandemic, or thoughts on the climate crisis.
b. Poem – Selected and read by Katy Gurin (You can read your favorite poem, just let the steering committee know at: [email protected])
c. Hayley Connors-Keith talks about our six month exploration of acknowledgments that Humboldt County was and is still home to a variety of indigenous tribes.
Part of what a land acknowledgment means is that we support indigenous people in their fight against a changing climate. Tonight we want to support the Anishinaabe peoples who are resisting the Line 3 pipeline that is designed to carry tar sands oil from Alberta, Canada to Superior, Wisconsin. We can all add our names to a 350.org petition calling on President Biden to halt Line 3 construction immediately: Click here to sign.
d. Presentation on the climate impacts of refrigerants in the world, California and Humboldt – Dan
