But that’s not all. On Sunday, June 21, at 7 PM, 350 Humboldt will host a Zoom Letter Writing Party. This gives everyone an opportunity to make a difference. Dan Chandler will provide information on important issues and decision makers and you can write paper letters or send emails.

a. View 350.org program with black environmental activists discussing black organizations, their demands and their relationship to climate action.
b. Sign a 350.org pledge in defense of black lives. See text and URL in chat and in minutes.
c. Contribute funds: to the Movement for Black Lives, a coalition of 50 organizations
B. Actions related to voting. DAN
a. Support AB 860 (Berman) which guarantees vote by mail for everyone in California. Similar to Governor’s executive order but more permanent and less attackable by Republicans. Contact Mike McGuire as the bill is now in the Senate.
b. Join a group working on Get Out the Vote:
i. Sierra Club: letter writing, messaging, calls
ii. Vote Forward: letter writing
iii. Go Green | Vote Blue new group sponsored by 350 Bay Area
iv. Black Voters Matter works mostly in the south and also has a environmental justice focus. Donate to support.
C. Just recovery KATY
a. Local: Green Stimulus
b. Federal: Huffman lead on a letter asking House leaders to include “Restoration and Resilience Jobs” program in future economic recovery packages.
c. Ongoing efforts: ReWIND (to stop oil companies getting bailout) and People’s Bailout
D. Regional issues and lending support on the Jordan Cove LNG pipeline opposition: MARY
