350 Humboldt has a bus project which aims to promote bus ridership by planning fun bus outings combined with lunch, hiking, whatever else we think of that would be fun. We get to meet in person (not on a screen), talk about climate work or just get to know each other and enjoy the day. We hope to lower barriers to bus riding by doing it together and sharing knowledge of how to do it. Our next bus adventure is planned for Thursday 3/2/23, and you are invited.
The Plan: Come by bus from wherever you live to Old Town, Eureka. We will meet at the Gazebo. Then we will walk to restaurant (to be determined) for outdoor lunch. After lunch, we’ll stroll the boardwalk and bus home. Added benefit-if you are not already a seasoned bus rider, you will get more comfortable and knowledgeable. I will bring paper bus schedules to share.
Date: Thursday March 2
Time: Plan to meet at the Gazebo at 12:15
  • Eurekans-check your schedule at preferred bus stop
  • Arcatans: I will be catching the bus at 6th and H, Arcata at 11:42
If you need help figuring out how to read the schedule or pay, let me know.
Humboldt Transit – Public Transportation for Humboldt County, California can give you route and payment info.
Warning-we now know that google maps will also give you routes but it turns out they can give inaccurate info, so double check if you use google maps
Please let me know if you are planning to come so we can find each other and chat on the bus. Also, give me your cell so we can connect on a text thread that day. And-let me know if you are comfortable eating indoors. If anyone is not, we will definitely eat outside.

We hope for sunshine but just in case: Misty day, we will go. Heavier rain-we will cancel.
