We're hunkered down in the conference rooms of Cancun, but our thoughts are with our friends in the Mideast where a nasty drought has caused trouble in Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and especially Israel, where more than 40 have died in the worst wildfire in the country's history.
The only good news is that people from the divided region are showing that they can work together in a crisis: Turkish fire fighting equipment, for instance, is en route to Israel. It calls to mind one of the iconic images from our first 350 day of action, when activists in Jordan, Palestine, and Israel came together to sound a powerful warning.
We'll keep you updated as we get news from your colleagues in the region, and we'll keep working hard to slow down the march of climate upheaval.
