Port Elizabeth, South Africa. African Penguins,
rehabilitated victims of oil pollution, are released back into the sea in
front of hundreds of participants in a 350.org 10/10/10 Global Work Party.
The African Penguin has recently been classified as an Endangered Species as
its population has crashed from over a million birds a century ago to 20,000
and still declining rapidly. Scientists suspect that shifts in oceanic fish
populations triggered by climate change are starving the birds. PHOTO: Ryan
