Just got this e-mail from Joshua Hernandez from TeleArk a sales company in the Philippines, who is hosting a 10/10/10 event in Davao City. The plan is to pick up trash along the streets and dispose of it properly. It is good to have companies joining these activities.

From Joshua “We are pleased to announce TeleArk LLC Davao City “Trash Talks” event. TeleArk is a young but fast growing company that is not bound by borders, and is open to “Going Green”! TeleArk is a "Green Company" for reasons such as paperless contracts as well as 95% of our employees work from home which saves on commuting thus helping with the global climate control issues surrounding us and jeopardizing our future.

Driving a car is the most air polluting act an average citizen commits and produces exhaust, which is one of the biggest sources of pollution humans cause in their daily lives. Car exhaust's many toxic components negatively affect the environment on several levels, both locally and globally. The gases contained in this exhaust, such as carbon dioxide contribute to global climate change. Such gases trap heat in the atmosphere, creating a greenhouse effect that led to the warming of the Earth's atmosphere, causing widespread climate change.

Similarly, sulfur oxides and sulfates from cars create acid rain. So you can imagine how HUGE an impact having 95% of our employees working from home and not having to commute to work every day is having to the overall health of our planet and the global fight against climate change. We at TeleArk not only want to promote taking care of our environment in the Philippines, and in the US, but all over the world!

If you are local in Davao you can also hear more about our event on 99.5 Monster radio. TeleArk believes in helping our communities, our environment, our futures. You can visit our site at www.teleark.com to learn more about us and learn how you can help others. By helping our environment we are helping each other, and by helping each other we become stronger and more united”.
