Youth in Shkoder, in northern Albania, are replying with a resounding 'yes!'

One of the legacies of the former communist regime in the area was a network of canals, originally meant for agriculture. Nowadays they're disused – and a lack of community-organised waste management has left the citizens of Dobrac, and other surrounding areas, using them for dumping & burning household & industrial waste.

Today, young people in the area are getting to work and cleaning them up – and planting some trees in their youth centre, too!
