The science is clear: We are at a crossroads in the fight against climate change, and fossil fuel projects are the engine of climate catastrophe. The future of our planet depends on us stopping new oil, gas, and coal projects now and swiftly phasing out existing fossil fuel production.

350 Chicago is a member of People vs. Fossil Fuels, a coalition of over 1,200 climate justice, Black, Indigenous, Latino, social justice, economic justice, progressive, environmental, youth, faith, and other organizations working together towards a common goal of ending the era of fossil fuels. Together, we represent millions of people across the United States and are allied with millions more around the world.

Fossil fuel projects are a daily health and justice disaster for communities that live near them — especially for Black Indigenous and other people of color (BIPOC) communities. By centering the stories of these frontline communities in leadership, and decision-making, we work to confront the forces of white supremacy and colonialism.

Climate disasters are already disrupting millions of lives and causing irreparable harm to communities. We need a world beyond fossil fuels: a world in which workers’ rights, community health, and our shared climate come before corporate profits.

Join us as we work to support frontline fossil fuel fights across the country and push President Biden to take bold executive action to address the climate emergency. We must hold him accountable to ensure Biden becomes the climate president he promised to be. For more information email us at [email protected].
