On September 23, 350 Chicago will be joining the next Fridays for Future Global Climate Strike in Chicago, IL! This joint coalition event is co-hosted by Fridays for Future, Chicago Climate Youth Coalition, Sunrise Movement, 350 Wisconsin, Rising Tide Chicago, Progressives of Kane County, 350.org, and 350 Milwaukee. We’re hoping you can join us!
We’ll be gathering in downtown Chicago for a large march and action. Our demands:
- Federal Reserve: Regulate the flow of money from banks to fossil fuels and incentivize investment in sustainable technology, green lending, and a just transition to a livable future for all!
- Chase Bank: Stop profiting from the climate crisis, and put your money where your mouth is by living up to your commitment to aligning investments with the Paris Climate Agreement.
- Senator Durbin – Stop the bill to fast track fossil fuel infrastructure in frontline communities!
We’ll be telling people in power that we are trying to STAY ALIVE in a climate crisis with a new performance of our famous Civil DISCObedience flash mob. Bus transportation from Madison and Milwaukee to downtown Chicago will be provided!
