On behalf of 350 Chicago, I would like thank everyone who attended the Green New Deal Petition Drop at U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky‘s office this past Monday (February 4, 2019)!
Leslie Combs, district director of Schakowsky’s office, informed us that Rep Schakowsky has endorsed! I plan to follow up with her office and will let you all know what that will look like!
The power of individuals coming together to demand action on the climate cannot be understated! Together we are making a better world, and I thank you for taking time out of your morning to do this important work. Please enjoy the photos from the action (below).
Also, for your reference, here are copies of the letters delivered: the Food and Water Watch letter of petition which includes the names of the 620 organizations that have signed in support of the Green New Deal, as well as 350.org’s cover letter.
