ventura ventura, November 3, 2016

On November 12 at 9:45 am and every second Saturday, Citizens’ Climate Lobby volunteers gather locally for a monthly video conference call and meeting where we do three things: educate ourselves by listening to a guest speaker, celebrate our accomplishments, and take action.

LOCATION: Home of Vicki Paul, 2238 Sanderling St (Montalvo), Ventura 93003.

November 12 national call guest: Dr. Katharine Hayhoe. We try to get over to Vicki’s and grab refreshments and get settled before the call starts at 10 am.

Following a very stressful election season, our leaders thought it would be good to hear the calm and reassuring voice of our favorite climate change communicator, Dr. Katharine Hayhoe. Dr. Hayhoe recently gave CCL a big shoutout at the South by South Lawn climate change discussion at the White House with President Obama and actor Leonardo DiCaprio. In addition, she just launched a series of short videos on climate change, “Global Weirding.”

After the national video conference call, we will discuss local outreach and getting endorsements for Carbon Fee and Dividend.
