CARI’s West Bay Politics Team is delighted to endorse Brandon Potter for State Representative. Brandon clearly sees the importance of addressing climate change, and additionally has a savvy understanding of how climate action can be linked to economic growth. When we interviewed him, he spoke knowledgeably about how to build a green economy as part of Rhode Island’s COVID-19 recovery. He has strong ties with and support from labor, and has already been discussing with labor union leadership the ways that addressing climate change will create much-needed jobs for Rhode Islanders. He has very specific ideas about using green policies to grow businesses in his district and to attract new businesses. All in all, Brandon is ready to use his pragmatic knowledge to enact smart policies to help his constituents and the climate. Cranston will be well represented by sending Brandon Potter to the State House!
