CARI took the opportunity of the 2017 National Governors Association meeting in Providence to organize a rally demanding action on climate change from the nation’s governors. Speakers from CARI, NoLNGinPVD, the Conservation Law Foundation, the Burrillville Land Trust, Fossil Free RI, Energize RI, and ECRI urged the governors to lead the way on shutting down dangerous and deadly fossil fuel projects, and shepherding an orderly but fast transition to renewable energy.
