“We as Indigenous Peoples are considered expendable to Energy Transfer, its partners, the oil and gas industry, and politicians. It is not about if the pipeline breaks and leaks, it’s when. Our children and the next seven generations’ lives will be affected by this pipeline and I want to protect our and their futures by ensuring clean drinking water, land, and air to breathe.” ~ Morgan Brings Plenty

Biden, Do Our Fair Share at COP28! Demand that the Biden Administration take accountability and recognize the United States’ historical contribution to the climate crisis and do its fair share to respond at COP28, the UN Climate Talks, in Dubai later this month. Drax Biomass is cutting down trees and shipping them overseas, causing forest destruction, carbon emissions, and community pollution. Frontline communities are tired of waiting for action. Let’s stand together and Hold Drax accountable for the harm they’re causing! Sign here.
Stop Mandatory Federal Oil and Gas Leasing! President Biden has shown he’s willing to sacrifice frontline communities and the oceans when it comes to oil and gas leasing, with three 60-million-acre leases in the Gulf of Mexico planned, due to harmful language in the Inflation Reduction Act. Now, Big Oil’s allies in congress are trying to expand oil and gas leasing and drilling into waters even deeper than where BP Deepwater Horizon happened. Take action using this toolkit here .
This week the EU and UK are expected to put forward proposals to end Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) countries’ support for oil and gas projects. This would be a key domino falling to End Fossil Fuels. Take action to stop $41 billion/year flowing to fossil fuel industry pockets! Tell OECD countries (the U.S. in one!) to stop propping up the oil and gas industry with public money here.
