November 6, The True Cost of Power: Duke Energy’s Climate Deception
6-8 pm, Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center, 1192 U.S. Hwy 64 West Business, Pittsboro
The short documentary features voices from prominent scientists, journalists and community leaders, and will introduce an NC WARN campaign to finally get our state on the right side of the climate emergency. Light food and Spanish interpretation will be provided.
November 11, 6th International Rights of Nature Tribunal: A New Pledge for Mother Nature
7 am , in person and online from Belém, Brazil
This final hearing will center on the most pressing environmental challenges of our time, especially those driven by fossil fuel dependency and extractive models disguised as green transitions, while positioning the Rights of Nature as a legal and ethical response to the planetary crisis.
