Clean Water Action, Climate Action RI, Planned Parenthood Votes! Rhode Island, and RI Working Families Party Partner to Host State Senate 28 Candidate Forum
Clean Water Action, Climate Action of RI, Planned Parenthood Votes! Rhode Island, and RI Working Families Party will join together to conduct a candidate forum for State Senate 28 Race, moderated by Edward Fitzpatrick (The Boston Globe). The forum will be held at:
William Hall Library
1825 Broad Street, Cranston Saturday, August 17th at 3:00pm
This event is open to the public and will last for one hour. The questions will be given in advance to Mr. Fitzpatrick and he will be asking a few of his own questions to the candidates. Each question will be presented to the group to answer; there will be no rebuttals or debating. The candidates who will be participating are as follows (alphabetically):
Darrèll Brown
Melissa Carden
Bernice Morris
Lammis Vargas
This is a non-partisan event aimed at allowing candidates to introduce themselves to the community and to define their policies more. Said the organizations, “Having these four organizations come together to partner on a candidate forum is a great opportunity to learn more about the individual candidates and issues that are most important to them and helps set apart these four strong Democrats. We thank everyone for participating and we look forward to seeing a strong voter turnout in the September 10th Primary.”
