350 Kingston 350 Kingston, December 5, 2021

350 Kingston members joined the Kingston Youth Climate Action Rally Thursday, December 2nd.  The background:

Kingston was the first municipality in Ontario to declare a CLIMATE EMERGENCY, but their actions and promises don’t match the urgency of this crisis! Kingston is in the final steps of developing a Climate Leadership Plan that will set the stage of Kingston’s climate policy and green infrastructure. The plan is seriously lacking in urgency, equity, and evidence-based solutions. Right now it is not in agreement with a 1.5 °C cap on global warming and does not include a just transition that also considers marginalized community members nor indigenous demands.

We Need You

With activism—and especially with climate activism—it’s easy to feel like the problems are so big you can’t do anything to make change.

We get that. That’s why we’re working together. The more voices we have calling for action, the stronger that call becomes.

Please get involved.
