November 15, Door Knocking to Prevent Fracking in Lee County<\/strong><\/div>\n

Learn more about plans to drill and possibly frack a gas well in Lee County, then go door knock in neighborhoods nearby the well to get folks involved. Join hundreds of people who have spoken out across North Carolina and Virginia on Williams Transco\u2019s proposed Southeast Supply Enhancement Project (SSEP) \u2014 a 55-mile, high-pressure methane gas pipeline that\u2019s part of a huge expansion of fossil fuels in the Southeast, for this virtual comment party. Learn from community organizers how to draft and submit your comments.<\/div>\n

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) released an Environmental Assessment for the SSEP methane gas pipeline, which claims to analyze the environmental impacts of the SSEP\u2019s multiple sections of pipeline, massive gas compressor station expansions, and additional infrastructure modifications.
