On July 5, Raleigh\u2019s high temperature was 106, the highest ever recorded at RDU. In addition, Raleigh\u2019s heat index was 118, the highest heat index reading ever recorded at RDU!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Summer of Heat<\/a> actions that began in June will continue through August in New York City with the focus on Citibank, the largest financier of companies expanding the fossil fuel sector. Elders week last week began with a memorial to mourn<\/a> all we have already lost to climate change. There have also been solidarity events taking place across the country, with three events taking place in NC last week, including this one in Asheville<\/a> with Third Act NC.<\/p>\n
