On September 8, in advance of the Global Climate Summit in San Francisco, \u00a0Rise for Climate, Jobs, and Justice<\/b>\u00a0events will be held in cities and towns around the world to demand our local leaders commit to building a fossil free world that works for all of us!\u00a0

September 8<\/b><\/span>, 12-7 pm,\u00a0<\/span>Triangle<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>Rise for Climate Solutions B<\/span>io-Bus Tour\u00a0<\/span>visit six locations in Durham and Orange Counties highlighting climate solutions from household to community levels. Meet at the\u00a0<\/span>Durham Station Transportation Center.\u00a0<\/span>Join us for an opportunity to see firsthand solutions in our own communities, unleash our collective creative ideas and energy, and spark growth of many more local\u00a0solutions we need to address the climate crisis.\u00a0RSVP required. \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

September 10,<\/b>\u00a06-9 pm,\u00a0<\/span>Racial Equity and Environmental Justice Workshop,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Pilgrim United Church of Christ<\/span>\u00a0in Durham\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
We will deep dive into racial equity with Alexa Broderick of The Equity Paradigm and environmental justice with Naeema Muhammad and Ayo Wilson of NC\u00a0Environmental Justice Network.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>We’ll look at the United State’s political history to understand how policy has shaped racial inequity then discuss how we, as environmentalists, can focus our work around environmental justice.\u00a0<\/span>https:\/\/actionnetwork.org\/events\/racial-equity-and-environmental-justice-training\/<\/a><\/div>\n

September 12<\/b>, 6:30-8:30 pm\u00a0<\/span>Rise for Climate Solutions Forum,<\/span>\u00a0Church of the Nativity in Raleigh. \u00a0Local city and county leaders will be discussing renewable energy, environmental justice. clean energy jobs, putting an end to new fossil fuel infrastructure, and more.\u00a0<\/span>https:\/\/actionnetwork.org\/events\/rise-for-climate-solutions-forum\/<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
