CARI is pleased to endorse Teresa Tanzi, the incumbent State Representative for District 34. In her 10 years serving in the House, Teresa has shown her understanding of the urgency of the climate crisis and consistently supported climate action initiatives, including supporting the Act on Climate 2020 bill and championing the Green New Deal. Teresa has advocated for transportation alternatives and was one the founders of Paths to Progress RI, a coalition for developing recreation and transportation paths. Importantly, Teresa also understands that renewable energy projects must be sited responsibly. She has been an advocate for local wind projects and programs to reduce fossil-fuel dependency. Teresa is a capable and committed ally for the climate in the RI House, and CARI is happy to give her our enthusiastic endorsement for re-election.
