That\u2019s the petrochemical industry talking. More precisely, it is<a href=\"https:\/\/www.icis.com\/asian-chemical-connections\/2020\/10\/debate-about-refinery-closures-re-configurations-a-harmful-distraction-for-the-petrochemicals-business\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> ICIS analyst John Richardson<\/a> writing about the end of the era of plastics, which he believes is upon us now. Long considered one of the leading sources of industry data and market analysis, ICIS provides arguably the most credible viewpoint on plastics anywhere.
