He was unfairly arrested by the Mahwah government &#8211; at the prompting of the &#8220;Polo Club.&#8221; He spent 40 days in jail and his court proceedings were repeatedly postponed. This is part of a pattern of harassment against the Ramapough &#8211; an effort, we believe, to force them off the 14 acres of land that they own on the shores of the Ramapo River up Halifax Road &#8211; they use that area as a sacred prayer camp, to which they have often invited the public.<\/p>\n<p>To find out more, go to the tribe&#8217;s Facebook page:\u00a0 Split Rock Sweet Water Prayer Camp.
