{"id":645,"date":"2019-03-16T17:23:54","date_gmt":"2019-03-16T17:23:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/world.350.org\/newjersey\/?page_id=645"},"modified":"2021-03-15T11:35:13","modified_gmt":"2021-03-15T15:35:13","slug":"our-pension-divestment-efforts-in-nys","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/world.350.org\/newjersey\/our-pension-divestment-efforts-in-nys\/","title":{"rendered":"NY Pension Divestment Efforts"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"\">\n<div class=\"\">350NJ-R is an active participant in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.divestny.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Divest NY Coalition<\/a>. \u00a0Divest NY got <a href=\"https:\/\/www1.nyc.gov\/office-of-the-mayor\/news\/053-21\/mayor-de-blasio-comptroller-stringer-trustees-estimated-4-billion-divestment-from\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New York City to commit to divestment<\/a> in 2018 and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.osc.state.ny.us\/press\/releases\/2020\/12\/new-york-state-pension-fund-sets-2040-net-zero-carbon-emissions-target\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New York State to commit to divestment<\/a> in December, 2020. \u00a0These are major achievements for the divestment movement.
