As the situation in Long Beach regarding SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19 continues to evolve, Long Beach 350 has decided to cancel our March general meeting out of concern for our community. News about coronavirus can be scary and confusing, and we believe it is best to take whatever steps are necessary to keep ourselves, our families, and every member of our communities safe.

We remain committed to our mission of working on local climate solutions, and will continue to discuss, debate, and draft ideas to achieve climate justice. We want you to still be a part of this exchange. Currently, we are evaluating the best way for our group members to connect via various online platforms that will allow effective communication for future meetings. If you haven’t signed up already to receive our emails, please do, and continue to check our website, like us on Facebook, or follow us on Twitter. We hope to have updates on our work and how we will continue moving forward during these unsettling times.

We will be monitoring the ongoing health crisis with particular attention to its local impact, and will adhere to recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Long Beach Department of Health. We encourage you to use this time to check on loved ones and practice good health hygiene. Wash those hands, cover those coughs and sneezes, and stay at home when you are sick.

Thank you for your continued support!
