</html><description>It's crunch time: the US Senate will be voting on Keystone XL very soon, as early as this week.&nbsp;Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid indicated that he will allow a vote on an amendment to approve the pipeline during debate about a transportation bill this week. If the vote proceeds, it will be the first time that the pipeline has had an up or down vote in the Senate. If Keystone is blocked on this vote, we will be in a much stronger position to keep it bottled up in the future. The 44 Senators who are co-sponsoring the amendment&nbsp;have taken over $20 million dollars in total from the oil industry, which is just one indication of how profounding big oil money has corrupted the Senate's approach to energy issues.&nbsp;More updates will be posted here as they develop.&nbsp;</description></oembed>
