LETTER WRITING PARTY<\/strong><\/p>\n

A second letter-writing party will meet at 7pm Sunday June 21. In addition to climate actions, some of the bills we can write about are current anti-racist bills, such as one regarding reparations and another regarding court fees. \u00b7 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Anyone can sign up to write letters at Vote Forward (https:\/\/votefwd.org<\/a>) and\/or Sierra Club (https:\/\/www.sierraclubindependentaction.org\/writing-climate-voters-letters<\/a>).<\/p>\n

\u00b7 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Join the Environmental Voters Project: https:\/\/www.environmentalvoter.org\/how-were-different<\/a>. \u00a0A Bay Area activist says: \u201cI\u2019ve been through one of their trainings, and they are encouraging people to use text messaging. But you don\u2019t have to do that over the phone \u2014 you CAN do it on your computer. They send you 20 names, you use the pre-prepared message \u2014 or write your own \u2014 and then send it out in a batch. Usually you\u2019ll get 1-2 responses back \u2014 and then you can reply (again, on the computer and with a standard message or with your own). They provide info to people about how to register, what they need to have to vote (photo ID? \u00a0Etc.) \u2014and as the election comes up, they will be doing Get Out The Vote messages.\u201d<\/p>\n
