Climate Changemakers<\/strong><\/em> is a nationwide organization of people concerned about climate change who have decided to devote one hour a week to climate action, in most cases writing letters to decision-makers. A lot of research goes into choosing a target for each letter. Their goal is to be a person-to-person community, so you do your letter-writing on zoom. They also bring in decision-makers themselves to answer questions. Yesterday Senator Richard Blumenthal, a climate action leader in the US Senate joined for a full hour of questions and answers. Most of the attendees are of an age when working and parenting make lots of \u00a0demands on their time, but there is a sprinkling of older folks and leaders of other climate groups. A staff of three makes it happen.<\/p>\n
