He has promoted a regional approach to sea level rise planning for the last 10 years.<\/p>\n<p>The lecture will be via Zoom. It won\u2019t take more than a few minutes and every action we take counts in the climate crisis. Below the petitions are opportunities to write postcards to voters in important elections.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>SIERRA CLUB ON VOTING RIGHTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/addup.sierraclub.org\/campaigns\/the-filibuster-has-to-go?\">Send your senators a message,<\/a> and be sure to personalize it by sharing what the freedom to vote means to you and your community:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This week is crucial. We are finally seeing Senate Democratic leadership put a real and final deadline in front of their Republican colleagues and the more-moderate members of their own caucus, Senators Manchin and Sinema. That\u2019s why a new bill in Congress, the Forest Act, proposes to ban companies from importing ingredients linked to illegal forest destruction. But these same corporations could doom the Forest Act if they\u2019re not stopped.
