(Contact info below). If you support it (as the 350 Steering Committee does), we need to let them know. If you have concerns, this is a crucial time to give input and make suggestions. There are two opportunities for input coming up.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>First, discussion will occur at the Planning Commission at 4 PM Thursday, August 4. You should be able to offer in-person comments at this meeting.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Second, there will be a Gateway Study Session of the Council and Commission on August 23rd where they will be asking questions of staff. I was told that there probably be very limited community input at the meeting but that letters sent ahead of time would be very helpful.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span><span><strong>The most impactful and helpful letters are:<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><strong>-Short and easy to read<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><strong>-Targeted to specific aspects of the Gateway<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><strong>-Constructive (offer alternative solutions or ideas)<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>If you support increased housing, infill development, walkable cities, let them know.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span><span><strong>If you support form-based code and ministerial review, let them know. (If you don&#8217;t know what those are, there is an excellent video on City of Arcata website or ask me.
