California Environmental voters is sponsoring a very important bill to require large corporations to report their carbon footprint. SB 253, introduced by Senator Scott Wiener, would require all large U.S.-based corporations doing business in California that make over $1 billion annually to publicly disclose their full carbon footprint in a way that is easily understandable and available to the public. POSTCARDS TO SWING STATES — New program for fall elections<\/strong><\/p>\n

In Virginia, we’ll write to rally Democrats to vote in 42 competitive state legislative districts this November. Democrats hold a narrow majority in the state Senate and Republicans hold a narrow majority in the House of Delegates. In Kentucky, our postcards will help Democratic Governor Andy Beshear win re-election in November.<\/p>\n

You’ll need to provide your own postcards and stamps for this program<\/strong>. We recommend progressivepostcards<\/a>, an online store that sells postcards with several of our designs for less than most sellers. We’ll add designs specific to Virginia and Kentucky before sign-ups start, but you can buy general designs there anytime. After you sign up, we’ll email you a list of voters and instructions, which will include an October mailing date and three short message options.<\/p>\n
