{"id":50852,"date":"2024-05-03T10:00:23","date_gmt":"2024-05-03T10:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/world.350.org\/humboldt\/?p=50852"},"modified":"2024-10-08T23:06:59","modified_gmt":"2024-10-08T23:06:59","slug":"rein-in-the-investor-owned-utilities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/world.350.org\/humboldt\/rein-in-the-investor-owned-utilities\/","title":{"rendered":"Rein in the investor-owned utilities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of its new <a href=\"https:\/\/350.org\/press-release\/us-utilities\/\">National U.S. Utilities Campaign<\/a>, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/350.org\/\">350.org<\/a> is launching an education series to explore how utilities are blocking the renewable transition across the country while raising rates on working families and how we can fight back.<\/strong> Starting May 7th, <a href=\"http:\/\/350.org\/\">350.org<\/a> will have weekly sessions on Tuesdays at 4pm PT \/ 7pm ET through July 16th (except for 6\/25 and 7\/2) to dive deep into utilities campaigning with some really great guest speakers and interactive breakout sessions. <a href=\"https:\/\/350org.zoom.us\/meeting\/register\/tJAvf-yoqDMpG9PbGKzmWbXzeNvV680rx_8x#\/registration\">Check out the schedule and RSVP here<\/a>! <a href=\"http:\/\/350.org\/\">350.org<\/a> is encouraging members of local groups to attend in &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSfmv-MIb4F-m2TPZ2ogzr-RoRxk_4IRxQSRtA246yk402D4ow\/viewform\">crews<\/a>&#8221; so we can learn together, catch each other up if someone misses a session, and work together to put our learning into action afterward! <strong>If you&#8217;re interested in joining a crew, let me know so we can get signed up.
