Last week Cal Poly professor Jen Marlow presented an extremely interesting talk on the ways in which climate change induced sea \u00a0level rise is pushing people to relocate. She shared examples from the Alaskan village of Kivalina, where she lived for several years, and from Humbold County where spent nuclear fuel and other nuclear waste is store only 44 feet above sea level and plans for relocating it are stalled. (Hence the name of her project: 44 Feet.)<\/p>\n

Below is further information about the Humboldt issue that Jen Marlow has asked us to consider.<\/p>\n
