JOIN US<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Join 350.org in urging the U.S. to prioritize investment in distributed and community-led renewable energy for Africa and for the rest of the world.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

My name is Mamadou and I’m the Digital and Communications Specialist for the Africa team at 350.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As I write this email, something extraordinary is happening across Africa:<\/p>\n

Climate activists in Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, and all over the continent are hard at work on 350.org<\/a>‘s new REPower Afrika campaign.<\/p>\n

This campaign is all about shifting our reliance on fossil fuels and onto community-owned renewable energy.<\/p>\n

But in order to make this transition happen, we need countries like the United States to keep their promises to stop spending public money on coal, oil and gas and instead fund renewable energy \u2014 so we are asking:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Can you please join us and call on the U.S. to stop funding fossil fuel extraction in Africa and prioritize investment in distributed and community-led renewable energy in Africa instead?<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n
