‘350’ refers to the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere that climate scientists\u00a0consider safe.
\nScientists tell us we must reduce the amount of CO2<\/sub> in the atmosphere from its current level of 400 parts per million (“ppm”)to below 350 ppm to preserve life as we know it. But 350 is more than a number\u2014it’s a symbol of where we need to head as a planet.<\/p>\n

We believe that a global grassroots movement can hold our leaders accountable to the realities of science and the principles of justice. That movement is rising from the bottom up all over the world, and is uniting to create\u00a0the solutions that will ensure a better future for all.<\/p>\n
