The Friday Market bus adventure this week has expanded to include a
tour of the parking lots in Eureka that may be future sites
for much needed housing. “May” because this plan has been
attacked by infill development foes who have put an initiative on the
ballot in November.
On July 26,
join 350rs on the bus that arrives at 4th and D in Eureka
at 5:59 from the north and 5th and D from the south at
5:43. Here is a RTS schedule. The bus is free this
month and next for youth and seniors (17 years old and younger or 62
years old or older).
Meet at 6:10 at
3rd and G, site of the future EaRTH
Center.
Take a one mile walk
with us to visit the contested parking lots, learn about the city’s
plans for affordable housing and find out how you can help defeat
Measure F. After the tour, enjoy the Friday Market.
Some
Tips
You can
download an app called Transit onto your phone. (See youtube
tutorials for how to on android or iphone.)
1)
Enter destination
2) Tap
“leave now” and set your desired arrival time.
Appless people can
figure it out from the schedule.
If you’re not a
youth or senior [see above], you should know how you’re going to
pay before you get on the bus. Check the fares page.
Check the bus
schedule to make sure you don’t stay past your last bus home!
