Ted Cruz Protests
350.org Houston joined forces with the Humanists of Houston and the Texas Campaign for the Environment to protest Ted Cruz’s climate change position.
“Sen. Ted Cruz on Sunday said facts don’t support climate change, in a speech that described the notion as a front for power-hungry politicians who want to control Americans’ lives. Instead, Cruz said, government researchers are reverse engineering data sets to falsify changes in the climate. ‘They’re cooking the books. They’re actually adjusting the numbers’, Cruz said. ‘Enron used to do their books the same way.’ ” (August 2, 2015, Time Magazine)
We spoke with some of Cruz’s staffers about the fact that the IPCC, the NAS, NOAA, NASA, etc all say the Earth is warming due to human influence. One responded that they are being told by other scientists that climate change isn’t true. When we asked who the scientists were, he said they didn’t want their names disclosed.
