When: Thursday, April 11 from  6:00 to 8:30 pm

Where: First United Methodist Church, 1376 Olive St., Eugene

What: Organizing for Solutions – Let’s Get Moving on Transportation!

Transportation is our largest source of greenhouse gas emissions. It’s also among the top ideas that community members crowd-sourced to work on together at our first Climate Town Hall.

At this second in a series of Climate Town Halls we will take a deep dive into changing up how we move around in order to cut our greenhouse gas emissions. There will be brief expert presentations followed by team organizing and planning. Find out how policy decisions are made and who makes them; how it’s funded; what’s going on right now; how and where does public input and political pressure work. Specific topics to include:

  • Safer biking and walking
  • More transit ridership
  • Speedier transition to Electric Vehicles (EV’s)

Schedule of events: Stay tuned for the details!

We are EXCITED. Hope you are too. Networking, sharing resources, identifying & organizing for action TOGETHER.
