Yes, we need large-scale system changes. But how we travel, heat and furnish our homes, along with what we eat and buy are a huge part of the puzzle and are within our control. The Eugene Carbon Free Challenge is a fun and easy online platform that takes citizens through a process to identify our baseline energy profile, and then on to explore and commit to actions that save energy, water and money. These personal carbon savings roll up to your team/group and combine for our community savings! We’re partnering with the City of Eugene, with help from EWEB, to fund and run the program right here, right now. The Carbon Free Challenge was introduced at the recent Climate Town Hall focused on consumption (photos here; Credits – Robert Scherle).
Be part of a rapidly expanding, community-based initiative.
